Welcome to the D4 Recreational Softball site!
This project began in August 2020 when my husband, Nick Dorazio, began playing softball with all of you! It has since morphed into my personal project highlighting all of the D4 family of players, their significant others, and friends.
I have gone to other divisions, rec and neighborhood, within the softball league and found the rec D4 group is certainly the coolest, having a good time playing and socializing!
Since 2020 I continue to capture your moments on and off the fields... this photographic project expounds on maintaining one's youth, our youth. Regardless of that number referred to as our "age" by playing this game of life and softball, I hope to instill one's positivity to never give up on ourselves and support each other.
Thank you to all for your kindness and captured moments! Thank you to all the 2022 Fall season rec D4 team managers for contributing so we may enjoy the rec Division 4 family, on and off the field!

We are back in action with the new Winter softball season!
Twenty four teams began the season on January 9th and will rival for position to attain the title of D4 Winter 2023 with the last game before play offs Monday, March 27th... There are a number of D3 players that chose to come down to D4 this season- maybe they will stay with us next season, joining this D4 family of fun loving souls:) There are a few new teams back on the roster- team names you may recall from past seasons although there are new managers that head up the teams ... Clippers, manager Larry Owens; Jazz, manager Kevin Knussman, Nets, manager Jim Geeze; Mavericks, manager Howard Smith, Grizzlies, manager Art Hines; Warriors, manager Stewart White ... I have begun capturing team pictures as the managers advise when their great players are available ... If you are a manager, please, keep me posted and secure your date and time for that to happen. The team photos to date are posted on the Winter Season 2023 page. Good luck to all the teams! keep smiling, play ball! ~ Jacque Winter 2023 Teams
Maybe you have not played for a long time and are just beginning again- perhaps try out some used gear before making the plunge or, you have played for a number of years and have gear taking up space... check out this page on the site . . .
FYI- just a suggestion- this is a handy device to loosen up those muscles, quads, calves- use a massage gun before playing, during, whatever works for you... stretch, loosen up and hopefully, avoid pulled groins, etc! .... no endorsing any specific mfg just advice on keeping you in the game!! Ask around!
The 2022 Fall Season Champs! The SUNS Set On The LAKERS 15-7!
The Lakers and Heat teams stayed consistently tied in first place throughout the Fall Season. ... until...
all good things came to an end with the Suns team beating Lakers on Halloween, 17-2! Hmmm, trick or treat? It depended on which dugout you were in! That win firmed up third place for the Suns, Lakers were second to the Heat. The Lakers had only lost three games, to the Sixers the first week of the season, Heat October 3rd, then Suns at month's end. You see, it can be any team's season!
The Heat remained the top dogs all season until they played the Pacers for the Quarter play off round on December 1st. It was a major upset for the determined highest seed team losing to the lowest seed, 9-8. You just don't know who's going to show up to play at any given game day:)) Kudos to John Raines and his team for playing well all season!
The lowest seed Pacers moved into the semi finals on December 5th playing the Lakers. After the Heat lost the Lakers moved into the highest seed seat beating the Pacers 6-11. The second semi final game featured now second highest seed, Suns, matched against 2nd lowest seed Thunder. The Suns shined and the Thunder went away with a 19-4 final score!
Congrats to the Suns for playing those great games closing out the Fall season as the D4 final champs- and what a defensive game it was! Nice victory libations btw!
